That black guitar, Instead of whom the flowers bloom, Dizzy from the height…are only some of the songs by Vlado Kreslin, which have become folk tunes, and Vlado himself has become a cult person for his audiences, though not by means of self promoting strategies, but by his genuine charisma and by his suggestive music expression. The latter is based on interlacement of traditional Pannonia melodiousness, the rock’s rebelliousness and authentic poetic-musical expression. The documentary film “Sing me a song” is on one hand an insight into some key phases of Vlado’s growth towards his authentic artistic expression and at the same time an outline of the cultural context inside of which Vlado has been creating in for over forty years. It is a movie about music and about people who love music.
